Hello and welcome to Shimokitazawa!

Originally from Ishikawa Prefecture, I have been living in Tokyo for over 20 years, since my university days, and I spent about five years living in Shimokitazawa.

This neighborhood holds a very special place in my heart. I love its laid-back, local atmosphere, which feels different from the busy, modern image of Tokyo, its trendy yet unpretentious vibe, and its rich cultural scene, with vintage clothing shops, record stores, cafés, and charming little hidden gems.

I fell in love with Shimokitazawa, and I would love to share this unique neighborhood with you, taking you beyond Tokyo's best-known tourist spots.

I speak French and English fluently and would be delighted to show you around in either language. At your own pace, you can discover Shimokitazawa, explore my favorite local spots, and get the most out of your stay in Japan.
